The “Leaders of the future” program starts

Tomorrow, the mentoring sessions of the “Leaders of the future” program begin, in which the senior members will help the junior members in their personal and professional development process. The aim of this program is to provide young members with tools that allow them to work towards the 50a50 goals: to value female talent and achieve 50% female representation in decision-making positions.

Ten very high-profile senior members participate in the program, who have done a mentoring training under the direction of Joana Visa, professional coach and founder of 35 + ExecutiveWomen Coaching, and Anna Mercadé, president of 50a50. In this training, which has consisted of three group sessions, Joana Visa stressed that “the objective of these sessions is to help them to be able to find their own solutions”. In this way, “what we are trying to do is build long-term leaders”, added the coach.

A dozen young members have signed up for the program as mentees, where they can find advice, guidance and tools to help them improve their development. In addition, the senior members will share their knowledge and lessons learned to empower the younger ones.

Thus, tomorrow, the first mentoring session will take place, which will be in a group with all the mentees and the mentors, together with Joana Visa and Anna Mercadé. Next week, the individual sessions will begin, which will consist of four meetings between the months of May and July. In December 2021, a final mentoring session will be held to value all the experience and to be able to monitor learning and assess new needs.
