Luxury premiere of the reading club

The association 50a50 has inaugurated its feminist reading club, with the presentation of the book “Curso de feminismo para microondas” (Ara Llibres) by its author, Natza Farré.

The first session of the reading club, which will be held monthly at the Documenta Bookstore, has had the participation of some twenty members and supporters, who have enjoyed a time of feminist teachings with great humor.

The president of 50a50, Anna Mercadé, explained in the introduction that the goal of this reading club is to prepare women entrepreneurs, professionals and executives to set trends at business, economic and social level from a gender perspective.

“Feminism is a revolution, but we do not have any new rights acquired, for the moment we only see small changes, and the reaction is conservatism”, Natza Farré stressed, emphasizing the need to be aware of the urgency of the situation.

The journalist highlighted that “when we defend women’s rights we are fighting to improve the whole society”.

Both Natza Farré and Anna Mercadé agreed that, despite the fact that we are moving at an ant rate, the steps we have taken were unlikely a few years ago.

The next books that will be discussed in the 50a50 reading club will be “La trenza” (Salamandra), by Laetitia Colombani, and “Imbatibles, la edad de las mujeres” (Calambur Editorial), by María Rosa Benedicto, Sara Berbel, Maribel Cárdenas, Estrella Montolío and Ester Pujol.
