Yesterday, the eighth Annual Assembly of 50a50 members was held at the School of Public Administration of Catalonia, with the participation of 35 members who supported the association in an event filled with commitment, emotion, and a clear vision for the future.
During the assembly, members unanimously approved both the 2024 board report and financial statements, as well as the 2025 budget—a vote of confidence that reaffirms the members’ support for the board’s leadership and the ongoing projects.
One of the most notable moments of the session was the very positive assessment of this year’s lobbying activity, with numerous meetings and advocacy actions that have been a success in boosting the visibility and presence of women in decision-making spaces.
The assembly also marked a very special transition in the presidency of the association. Ms. Anna Mercadé, founder and tireless driving force behind 50a50, stepped aside to pass the baton to Ms. Marta Macias. It was an emotional moment and an opportunity to deeply thank Ms. Mercadé for her career and legacy, as an undisputed reference in the fight for equity and the empowerment of women.
Ms. Marta Macias shared with all attendees a heartfelt presentation video, in which she outlined the association’s future work lines and her vision. With a clear and inspiring message, she reaffirmed that leadership will continue to be a key pillar within 50a50 in the pursuit of a more just, equitable, and inclusive society.
With this eighth annual assembly, 50a50 renews its collective strength and moves forward towards new challenges with unwavering energy and determination.
