<\/span><\/div>Violet thermometer below zero in the food sector<\/h2><\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div>Only 34.8% of companies meet parity<\/h4><\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>The study of 50 organizations in the food sector carried out by the 50a50 Association under the title of “Violet Thermometer” confirms that only 34.8% of companies meet parity in the boards of directors and 12.5% in \u200b\u200bthe committees of direction.<\/p>\n
“To achieve real equality in companies\u00a0<\/strong>you have to reach parity “<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nThis is the vision that has inspired us to promote the Violet Thermometer campaign, to encourage companies to make a qualitative and quantitative leap in their organizations. The data showing the study’s conclusions is a clear indication that overall, we are still halfway to achieving this goal.<\/p>\n
\n- In the boards of directors of the 50 organizations analyzed, 12 companies have a representation of women in the range of 40% – 60%, 9 companies are between 20% -39% and 21 companies do not reach 19%.<\/li>\n
- In the case of the representation of women on management committees, the data varies considerably. There are only 4 companies out of the 50 analyzed that are within the 40% – 60% range of parity, 14 companies between 20% -39% and 13 companies that are below 19%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
The results obtained are in line with the conclusions of other studies carried out by recognized entities in the economic field.<\/p>\n
We acknowledge the effort made by some of the organizations that we have analyzed in this study to incorporate more women into their decision-making structures and we value 50a50 companies that meet parity.<\/p>\n
From the 50a50 Association, we call on institutions and companies to take more committed action in favor of equality. A consistent bet must be made and the need to ensure the full and effective participation of women and equal opportunities for leadership must be placed on the organizations’ agenda, as recommended by the UN for objective 5 of the 2030 Agenda.<\/p>\n<\/div>
