18 women’s associations, together at the Hipatia Forum<\/strong><\/h2><\/h1><\/div>

Following the initiative of 50a50, a total of 18 associations of women managers, professionals and entrepreneurs come together to jointly organize the Hipatia Forum<\/strong>, in order to discuss about how to improve equal opportunities among women and men on the occasion of the International Women’s Day.<\/p>\n

In its second edition, this year Hipatia will be held on Tuesday, March 3<\/strong>, from 4 to 8 pm, in the Auditorium of Barcelona Activa (c\/ Llacuna 162).<\/p>\n

Under the title “The economic and social re-evolution of women. A new paradigm for all<\/strong>“, the Hipatia Forum stages the union of women’s associations working towards the same objective, the equitable presence of women in decision-making positions, in accordance with ODS 5 of the 2030 Agenda by United Nations.<\/p>\n

The conference will revolve around two round tables, whose experts will discuss and propose solutions firstly on “Feminism: challenges and threats<\/strong>” and then on “Feminist economics<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Hipatia Forum will include speeches by the mayor of Barcelona, \u200b\u200bAda Colau<\/strong>; the Regional Minister of Enterprise and Knowledge of the Generalitat de Catalunya, \u00c0ngels Chac\u00f3n<\/strong>; the president of the Institut Catal\u00e0 de les Dones, Laura Mart\u00ednez Portell<\/strong>, and the manager of the City Council of Barcelona, \u200b\u200bSara Berbel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Likewise, the president of 50a50, Anna Mercad\u00e9<\/strong>, will present the Hipatia Forum manifesto, a compilation of proposals to move towards equal opportunities among women and men.<\/p>\n

The Hipatia Forum is organized by the following associations: 50a50, Associaci\u00f3 de Dones de Sant Quirze del Vall\u00e8s, ADEVall\u00e8s, Agima People i Wo+men’s Progress, ASODAME, C\u00edrculo de Mujeres de Negocios, Comissi\u00f3 DonesCOEINF, DDiPAS, Dona’t un Impuls, Dones Visuals, Dones en Xarxa, Forgender Seal, Fundaci\u00f3 FIDEM, Lean In Barcelona, Observatori Dona Empresa i Economia de la Cambra de Comer\u00e7 de Barcelona, On S\u00f3n Les Dones and Fundaci\u00f3 Surt. Barcelona City Council, Barcelona Activa and Catalan Government are also collaborating.<\/p>\n
